Blanket Information
In an effort to make our blankets uniform, therefore easier to sew together, we are asking knitters to use Vanna’s Choice worsted weight yarn.

Gauge: 4 stitches to the inch. Using size 8 needles worked for many of us. Knitters in our group use a range of size 7 to 9 needles to get this gauge. So, if you are a tight knitter, you might use size 9 needles, a loose knitter might use size 7 needles.

We will be blocking the squares to be 7 X 7 inches. If you can block your finished squares, it would be very helpful. You certainly can begin before March 6th. Send in any finished squares to Care to Knit.

Keep in mind that to make the smallest size, a 35X49 inch blanket, 35 squares are needed. We have picked out the following colors of Vanna’s Choice yarn:

Boy: #110 Navy, #300 Denim Mist, #135 Rust, #109 Colonial Blue, #130 Honey

Girl: #146 Dusty Purple, #303 Purple Mist, #145 Egg Plant, #147 Purple, #144 Magenta

Adult, Male: #035 Pearl Mist, #126 Chocolate, #125 Taupe, #302 Taupe Mist

Adult Female: #109 Colonial Blue, #108 Dusty Blue, #105 Silver Blue, #173 Dusty Green

Breast Cancer: #100 White #140 Dusty Rose
